Also, I just got done discussing White is for Witching by Helen Oyeyemi for the library book club. and it was so spooky and cray.
I'm reviving this thread because 1) I'm getting back into reading again this year, 2) I'm trying to be better about utilizing GoodReads, and 3) I want to write more.
What are y'all reading now? I just finished The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker, and I LOVED it. Super atmospheric. Definitely not an "action"-style book, but I had also just wrapped up A Reaper at the Gates and was a little action-ed out. Haha.
I'm in the mood for some more atmospheric stuff. With lush prose. Currently trying to track some more down, since those in particular give me the bug to write.

I finished The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt and loved it. I'm still thinking about it. And then I read a book called Everything About You by a local author and it was okay... I was expecting more of a thriller but it wasn't very thrilling.
Last night I started The Demon's Lexicon by Sarah Rees Brennan (who wrote my most favourite read of last year - In Other Lands) and I'm enjoying it so far but the main character is so grumpy.
